AliExpress

Alibaba's B2C marketplace of Chinese sellers — the default starting supplier for most new dropshippers. Low MOQs, low prices, long shipping times.

AliExpress is Alibaba's consumer-facing marketplace — the default starting supplier for most new dropshippers. You can buy single units, have them shipped directly to your customers with no branding visible ("no-invoice shipping"), and pay via normal card checkout.

AliExpress pros: MOQ 1, huge catalog, cheap (60-80% cost reduction vs. retail), fast to test new products. Cons: slow shipping (10-25 days to the US even with AliExpress Standard Shipping in 2026), inconsistent quality, variable English in seller communication, limited brand control.

Most operators graduate from AliExpress to an agent (CJ, HyperSKU, Zendrop Pro) or direct Alibaba supplier once they have a consistent winner — typically at $15K-$30K/month on a single SKU.
