Funnel

The sequence of steps from ad impression to final purchase — awareness, consideration, decision. Each step loses some customers; the funnel is what remains.

A funnel is the sequence of steps a customer goes through from first seeing your ad to completing a purchase — and often beyond, to repeat purchase and referral. Each step loses some portion of the audience, so the shape of the funnel narrows at each stage.

A typical dropshipping funnel looks like: 100,000 impressions → 2,000 clicks (2% CTR) → 1,700 PDP views (15% drop on click-to-PDP) → 150 ATCs (8.8% of PDP) → 45 checkouts (30% of ATC) → 32 purchases (71% of checkout).

Funnel analysis identifies where the leaks are. A store with 2% CVR and 5% ATC-to-purchase has a checkout problem; one with 1% CTR and 3% ATC has an ad-creative problem; one with 2% CTR and 0.5% click-to-PDP has a site-speed problem.
