Spy Tool
A spy tool is a product-research platform that aggregates competitor ad data — typically pulling from Meta Ad Library, TikTok Ads Library, and public ad scrapers — and lets you filter by category, country, runtime, engagement, and estimated ad spend. Examples in 2026: Minea, AdSpy, PipiAds, WinningHunter, Dropispy, and Foreplay.
The right use is research, not copying. A spy tool tells you which products are being advertised aggressively (a signal someone thinks they're winners), which angles are getting the most engagement, and what creative formats are working in a given category. Using that signal to inform your own testing is the high-leverage play.
Direct copying is low-leverage because you're already late — by the time a product is visible in a spy tool at scale, the winners are locked in, and saturation is building.
