TikTok Shop is TikTok's native ecommerce platform: a native in-app checkout that lets users buy products without leaving TikTok. Sellers list products; creators promote them via affiliate links, live streams, and Spark Ads; customers buy inside the app with one or two taps.

Why it's become a material channel in 2026: the UGC-plus-checkout loop is the most frictionless social-commerce flow ever built in the US market. A viral video with a product attached can convert at rates well above traditional social-to-site funnels, because the checkout is native.

The trade-off: lower margins (TikTok's commission structure plus creator-affiliate payouts), less customer data ownership (the customer is TikTok's, not yours), and volatile algorithmic reach. Operators usually run TikTok Shop in parallel with their owned Shopify store, not as a replacement.
