The specific message or story frame of an ad — the "why" behind the pitch. One product can have 5-15 different angles, each aimed at a different audience.

An angle is the specific message, story frame, or pain-point lens used to sell a product. The same product can have a dozen different angles, each of which tests differently against different audience segments.

Example — a posture-correcting brace:

Finding a winning angle is usually a bigger unlock than finding a winning product. Angle testing is how operators squeeze two or three more life-cycles out of a product they already know works.
